Customer feedback from Saint-Glen: two farmers share their experience
During a technical day organised by VITALAC, Alexandre and Cyril opened the doors of their farm in Saint-Glen, in the Côtes-d’Armor department. The farm produces 1.6 million litres of milk with 110 dairy cows across 135 hectares. In 2025, average yield increased significantly, rising from 34 kg per cow in 2024 to 47 kg per cow.
Alexandre was previously a driver at VITALAC, so it was only natural that he and his partner Cyril chose to work with VITALAC when they set up their farm in early 2022. They share their experience of working with VITALAC.

What do you appreciate most about VITALAC’s day-to-day support?
“What makes us work with VITALAC today is proximity above all. Contact with our technical sales representative is essential for us. What I particularly appreciate is that they bring us concrete solutions that support our success.They are field people. They know what it means to work on a farm, to put their boots on, and above all, to find practical solutions by listening to our needs and respecting our choices. We combine their ideas with ours and, together, we find suitable solutions.”
What criteria are essential for you when choosing you farming products?
“Simplicity is essential. Take minerals, for example: we no longer handle bags, everything is now stored in a silo. Before, we had to juggle bags of 10 kg of this, 20 kg of that. Today, everything goes into the mixer wagon.We no longer strain our backs, everything is well organised, and these are ideas that genuinely save time, improve comfort and ensure a better-quality mix. We use the VITACARTE range, which is incorporated directly into the mix.There is just one product, and from there, the mix is successful and performance improves. In addition, with VITALAC, the mineral is tailored to the farm, customised according to the specific needs of our herd, which is a real advantage.”
Among the products you use, which one would you recommend?
“Milk powder: GENILAC Goliath. It works very well with our system of one meal per day using a milk taxi for the calves. The results are there: the calves look excellent and are in great shape. We also recommend GLYCOLINE and TARIFORCE. They are good products that bring real benefits to our animals.”
To conclude, is there one aspect of your collaboration with VITALAC that you would like to highlight?
“Another point we really appreciate with VITALAC is the speed of delivery. As long as we plan our orders properly, we receive a text message on the day of delivery and everything runs smoothly. It is a very well-organised service and, honestly, it is a real plus for us.”
